Melblog covers arts and youth issues within the arena of Melbourne’s youth culture. We take a hard and soft look at current issues within the Melbourne arts scene featuring news stories, interviews, images, audio and graphics.

The aim of Melblog is to increase awareness and support for the Melbourne arts scene as well as exposing young people to the vibrant and exciting culture of Melbourne.

Melbourne is renowned for its colourful personality and its burgeoning arts scene; we want Melblog to connect with those interested in keeping up-to-date with news on the local arts scene. We want to focus on Melbourne arts and events but don’t want readers to be geographically bounded; anyone with an interest in arts will find something to keep them entertained.

We Are…

Melbog is run by three journalism students from Monash University who are writing about what they love and their experiences within the city of Melbourne.

Nick has an interest in all things to do with the Melbourne music scene and has been blogging within it for several years. He is keen to bring his music expertise to a new audience with the help of Melblog.

Loh has an interest in the goings on of the world and how that affects local issues. Coupled with a passion for music and the arts, he hopes to bring the global and the local together for the reader.

Nikki is the glue that holds all the testosterone together. She absolutely adores the Melbourne arts scene, and enjoys attending local festivals and shows. She also loves long walks on the beach and candlelit dinners.
